The new Alpe d’Huez X has the incredible appearance of a new Carbon Shift painting technique. Subtle, colour-shifting metallic paint is suspended in a translucent coat that reveals the beauty of TIME’s carbon weave. At times colourful and then almost completely translucent, these finishes are like no other.
